Soil Putback

Replacing the soil we had removed had its own share of difficulties -- the site-access restrictions encountered when pouring the new concrete walls also affected our ability to move in large quantities of soil at once. A specialized soil blend was designed and 1080 cubic yards were delivered to cover the main courtyard and townhome decks.  The soil blend was distributed in the courtyard with small front loaders -- a speedy process when compared to the soil replacement process employed for the upper decks of the townhomes: 1.5-yard bags of soil were delivered to an accessible location on an adjacent street, then individually craned 65 feet in the air over the tops of the townhomes to be emptied and manually spread out.
