Who We Are
ALEGIS Construction is a West Coast commercial general contractor specializing in tenant improvements, renovations, additions, and smaller (under $10 million) ground up construction projects. Keeping our projects within this range allows us to be highly selective with the projects we pursue. Our goal is not to be the largest contractor, but rather to focus on building relationships with clients now and into the future. The market segments we serve include: retail, office, banking, fitness, industrial, medical, restaurant, and hospitality. ALEGIS Construction’s average annual revenue exceeds $50 million.
Building Relationships is the foundation and guiding principle for every project at ALEGIS Construction. We take pride in listening to what our clients need and work together to deliver outstanding projects through continued collaboration and teamwork. Our goal is to understand each project’s budget, schedule, design and intent in order to deliver the best outcome for everyone. This principle is a prime example of why over eighty percent of our work is with repeat clients. We have four offices, in Seattle, Portland, Milpitas (Northern California) and Lake Forest (Southern California), each fully staffed with all positions. We have worked to build strong client relationships in 19 states, and can go where our clients need us.
Our Difference
ALEGIS Construction begins every project with attitude, enthusiasm, effort, and the overwhelming desire to build a relationship. These characteristics are not forced upon our staff, it is how they feel. They are hired with this trait, and the need to accomplish their work is inherent in every ALEGIS employee as they build trust and integrity. We define Trust as “I trust you will do what you say”, and define Integrity as “I will do what I say”.
Attitude: We approach each project with the desire to produce the best possible results at a reasonable cost. This allows the owner or occupant to conduct their business in the most efficient manner, and to ensure that the construction meets their requirements. Our team will not only help provide direction and the best selection of product, but will also treat this project as if they were the owner. This attitude is carried over as we negotiate pricing with subcontractors, work schedules, determine phasing of work, implement work, and close out the project.
Enthusiasm: The energy our staff inserts into every phase of a project is attributed to our dedication to their profession. Our enthusiasm first starts during the preconstruction phase of this project and is carried out to completion. ALEGIS staff will not only be a teammate, but will also come with suggestions and potential challenges, and present solutions to help give the project the life it will take during all phases.
Effort: The amount of effort our staff puts forth in any project undertaken is directly related to the number of projects ALEGIS has with repeat clients. We are asked repeatedly by past clients to participate in new projects and asked to travel to different states for their projects. That is why ALEGIS has built projects in over 19 different states for our clients.
ALEGIS prides itself on the fact that we build relationships not only with the Owner but all parties involved in the project. This includes all teammates as well as any consultants, subcontractors, and municipality personnel. This not only allows us to meet our desired goal but it also builds relationships for future projects.
Safety
At ALEGIS Construction, the safety of our associates and the general public is a priority on all of our projects. Promoting a safe work environment is an important part of our corporate culture. Maintaining a safe job site depends on each associate knowing and understanding safe work practices. We are committed to providing consistent safety training and ensuring that each job site superintendent receives OSHA certified training.
Our Commitment to Safety
We continually evaluate and enhance our safety programs and policies. The efficacy and strength of our safety programs are evidenced by several projects receiving no violation found by State surprise inspections. Experience Modification Rating (EMR) of 0.69, which is significantly better than the national industry average of 1.0.
Continued Training For Safety Awareness
Our jobsite supervisors are qualified and experienced in identifying and controlling hazards. Our commitment to keeping safety a priority includes required on-going safety training. All jobsite supervisors receive OSHA 30-hour certification and are encouraged to pursue additional safety-related training.
Winning Safety Program
Our safety program and job site safety record have been recognized by various industry organizations. We have been a Labor and Industry, AGC Safety team Member since 2014.
Partnering for Safety
Everyone needs to be on the same page for a commercial construction safety program to work. Over the past decade, we’ve taken this team approach to a new level by partnering with OSHA through their Strategic Partnership Program (OSPP). Together we’re working cooperatively to address critical safety and health issues. This very different approach is proving to be an effective tool for reducing injuries in the workplace.
